Lu'an gua pian 2025
Encountering these deep green, shrivelled leaves with their subtle savor of toasted nori evokes the impression of a dense forest grove on a hot summer's day. Unlike most high-grade Chinese green teas, which are made from buds, the farmers for this tea wait for the buds to unfold before harvesting. The stems are then removed, leaving the leaves distinctly shaped before they are repeatedly wok-roasted. The result is a uniquely rich and cool flavor with a velvety texture. Leafy greens combine with a hint of salt to delight one’s taste buds. Few green teas possess a boldness comparable to Lu'an Gua Pian without becoming harsh or bitter; a remarkable experience, which is only to be expected from one of China's ten famous teas.

For best results in gongfu cha, brew in a tall glass and fill with water before adding the leaves. Too high water temperature would burn the leaves, resulting in bitter taste.
